Performative Installation at Praxis Art Gallery
Gaspar Libedinsky + Mamitek Vibradios + Elia Gasparolo
A performative installation occupies the Shop Window Space where the site-specific artwork “The Origin of Species” was exhibited in 2018: a coral reef made from bundles of domestic broom bristles.
On this occasion, that coral barrier rises from the flat surface to envelop the body in the form of clothing.
The shop window functions as a screen, blurring the lines between domestic life made public and public life made domestic, a systemic adaptation characteristic of pandemic times.
Then, finally, it reaches the streets.
