The Eye in the Sky
The Eye in the Sky, the star Sirius: an archetype of the connection between the human and the divine. Its presence represents the manifestation of the spirit in matter, a source of knowledge, power, and guidance that links the soul to the cosmic order.
In ancient Egypt, it marked the beginning of the Nile’s life cycle, tying its emergence to fertility, rebirth, and cosmic time. Within occultism, Sirius is the sun behind the sun, a source of spiritual energy that animates the universe. Its light, both physical and symbolic, is perceived as a gateway to the heavens and a divine guide.
The embroidered constellation of Sirius becomes a symbolic map: a cartography of energy and devotion. Each thread is a line of connection traced between the body and the cosmos, rehearsing a dialogue between the visible and the invisible. The work seeks to remind us that the act of creation is also an act of faith, and that within beauty—as within the stars—dwells the possibility of the sacred.
In that gesture, beauty becomes an act of faith; a search where, as in the stars, the possibility of the sacred resides.
