Possible Landscapes

Possible Landscapes

Elia Gasparolo – Guillermo Vezzosi

This site-specific installation, made from reused aluminum, creates a “Possible Landscape” that brings the human footprint into view. Its modular structure is based on a rational geometry created by humans, seeking to force its integration with the organic forms of nature.

Far from being neutral, this aluminum framework makes consumption visible and gives it new meaning through its reflective shimmer, with the intention of fostering a renewed connection with the environment. The structure gradually advances and colonizes the territory like an exotic species taking root in native soil; it transforms the landscape through its presence and, by imposing itself upon it, generates a new topography born from the tension between two worlds coming together.
